Inspired By Stamping monthly challenge!

Hi friends! Well it's November already , boy this year has flown by, and it's heating up here in sunny Queensland, and very dry. We had a bush fire across the road from us yesterday thankfully those wonderful firemen put it out quickly, very scary with the winds so strong too. They say it's going to be a dry summer. Ok, now onto my card! I made this card for the IBSIC87 challenge over at Inspired By Stamping using the sketch. I enjoyed making this using my new Prima papers called Something Blue. I am not too sure where that small stamp is from..possibly SU. Thanks for looking and have a blessed day my friends xx

Happy birthday Carly!

Hi there friends! It was my oldest daughter Carly's birthday on the 16th ( 2 yrs 2 days between Clint and her) and this is the card I made her! She has 2 fur babies, mini Dachshunds, Pixi and Helga , so this cute punch art dog I had just made, just a few days before, said "Carly's Card" so I made it into her birthday card!! I found the idea from Stampin' With Dawn, and it used SU punches! The bone and sentiment stamps were from my very old stamps, and I used lots of pink, 'cause Carly, like her mum, LOVES pink! TFL, many blessings xx

Sweet Blessings!

Hi friends! Well it's Monday again, and boy the year is flying by isn't it? We had a good rainy day on Saturday, we need the rain, but it's all clear now and we have those lovely (NOT) SW winds that  tell us it's August! But I mustn't complain, summer with it's dreaded humidity will be here before we know it!
This is a simple card, I love that weathered wood look, this is just paper but I hope to get the SU background stamp that will give me this lovely look! The flower is bought, not made by me, and just added some SU butterflies, frame stamp and punch...the sentiment is from the Layers Of Color "Honeysweet" stamp set. I hope this week you get some sweet blessings! TFL! xx

Card Swap

Hi friends! This card was used for a card swap I did with several other crafty friends, and we used a recent  Mojo Monday sketch, and this was my interpretation! Owls are one of my fave things so I HAD to use an owl on my card! The owl is the SU owl punch , the branch was stamped then cut out and flowers added. The sentiment was from another owl stamp set from  Clearly Besotted. The clouds are from a sheet of background paper. I got seven fabulous cards from the swap, and am looking forward to the next one! Happy 83rd birthday mum!

Hi friends! My dear mum had her 83rd birthday on the 22nd and the family went out to lunch to celebrate! Mum is very healthy for her age, other than MD, but she has injections in her left eye (right eye is gone) each month so that eye is pretty good. Stamping with embossing folders and IBS stamps!

Hi friends! Here are 2 cards I made using the "stamping with embossing folder" technique. I used distress inks, 2 different colours, finger daubers, water colour paper and glimmer mist.  First get an embossing folder..open it and using the debossed side, ink it up using the daubers and distress inks...I like it fully covered but you can ink only certain parts. Once you are happy with how you have inked it, spritz it with your glimmer mist, about 6 times, I used a pale colour, or you can use water...then lay your piece of water colour paper on it and gently rub around the water colour paper and hold it there for about 20 seconds to let the ink penetrate the paper , then lift off and use on a card! I layered a coloured mat under it and then on cream card. Then I stamped a sentiment from IBS stamps. These stamps are bold and stand out great ! Give it a go! TFL! Many blessings xx
