Hi friends! I was asked by a friend at church if I could make a card for a lady she works with. It was for her 17yr old daughter, who is not a real "girly girl", so I asked for some ideas, as I AM a girly girl and LOVE pretty cards full of flowers and butterflies and PINK and pearls....I was scared...please don't say skulls, lol, but thank goodness she said hearts and red and black for colours..phew!! I saw this on Pinterest so thought it would be a great layout..I stamped all over the red heart with a SU stamp, then thought I would put some shine on the SU bird punched bird, so inked the same stamp with versamark and embossed it in clear embossing powder. The sentiment was computer generated , added a 3 looped bow with a Kaisercraft resin flower. The background paper is Graphic 45.Everything was also distressed with black ink. I now have to make another for a wedding! TFL! Many blessings xx
Marcie, I just LOVE this card. It meets all the criteria for not "girly", but still very elegant and gorgeous!!! Love the way you embossed the bird and stamped the heart. Very good idea - I forget to make my own DP. Thanks for the inspiration!!
